I flew over the Mississippi today and was astonished at the crazy amount of water spilling over the banks. It's a completely different vantage point to see it on TV and to have a bird's eye view of the liquid destruction. It's hard to imagine the same river that has been a longstanding national landmark is drowning fields, homes, and livelihoods. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families dealing with the floods.
